Space is not empty, but filled with the incredible: the Space Phenomenons. The least are explored to a full extent, and there are new ones coming up, while old ones suddenly disappear. The following is a short, incomplete list of the best known Space Phenomenons, which also found their place on the star map.
In the area called the „BadPlanets“, planets are living. And they are evil. Most of the planets still are made from blaze liquid rocks and shoot lava fountains and arriving space ships. Already hardened planets throw meteoritess at visitors or spontaneously change their orbit in order to mess up their whole solar system. One thing they all have in common: They could eat up space ships and try to make them crash on themselves by all means.
The Braben-Belt is a popular hideout for pirates, as the big Trade Council Ships can't reach them there. The belt consists of big and stable meteorites and the remains of a planet destroyed in the first war against the Glucorians.
The Ghomin-Nebula, located in the Free Trade Zone, is a perfect hideout of all kinds of scoundrel, rebels or pirates. Inside this great fog, there is no reliable signal from normal sensors, which means it requires real skill to navigate a ship inside and out of the Nebula. The pilot has to depend on his feelings and his hopefully good eye vision.
The GSMT harbors a small solar system in its inside. The mist kills a normal space ships board devices, and can only be crossed by ships with a special shielding. This makes it an ideal hiding-place for the rebels' main base.
Contrary to most other wormholes, the Katpar Wormhole is big and stable enough to get a ship flying through it. Due to this circumstance, many research cells have been sent through. Up until now, not a single cell's signal has been found again. Nevertheless, sientists have ensured by their measurements during cell starts, that the Katpar Wormhole always leads to the same place.
Purple holes are maybe the most colorful and romantic phenomenon of the universe. They always happen to exist pairwise, and both holes are connected by a dazzling Plasma Rainbow. For this, they are a popular goal for honeymoons. Space ships crossing the Plasma Rainbow glow permanently in all colors afterwards.
The Space-Time-Displacement in the Neutral Zone is with its area of 30*40 lightyears the biggest of its kind. It appeared about 600 years ago, and grew - at first - with an immense speed. By now, it has stabilized. It glows in all measurable colors, and puts out electric junk from its center from time to time. Inside and in its direct orbit, the border between time and space is nullified. Time doesn't run linear, not even always in the same direction. Also, distances are meaningless. On Javar 3, there is one of many research stations which explore the Space-Time-Displacement.
Despite of all probability calculations it exists: the Improbability Zone. Here, all probabilities are neglected, inversed, likely and unlikely at the same time. The probability theory and quantum physics fail. What seems unlikely, exists here, and what is likely won't be. As unlikely as it sounds, as possible it is there.
The White Hole on the brink of the Wagonian realm is the only known white hole. It is the exact opposite of a black hole, and steadily spits out matter to the event horizon. But it ain't plantes coming out of the White Hole, only parts of planets - which means, that the asteroid belt around it grows bigger and denser as steadily as the hole spits out matter.
Anmerkungen:
Lila Löcher: „lila“ ist eine Erfindung von Milka, es gibt im Englischen keine korrekte Entsprechung. „Purple“ für violett?
Raum-Zeit-Verschiebung: „Rifts“ ist eigentlich das falsche Wort. Besser: „Displacement“.
